Robot Rampage

Hi all! It's been quite a while. My family and a few friends have asked "Hey why aren't you blogging?" So, here I am again. I guess I just got distracted by my life and to be totally honest, lately, I don't feel like doing anything unless it helps bring salvation to souls and glory to God. Everything else seems pointless. So, I am still trying to decide if this does. If my blogs bless your soul let me know.

The other morning I was going over in my head all I had to do that weekend and started to hyperventilate. My husband, used to this scenario, asked me to make a list and give it to him so he could see how to help me. So I did. While I was cooking that Saturday morning, I was surprised to find him deeply involved in a serious project, that was not on my list. Ahem.

My oldest son had started remaking the box to our new vacuum cleaner into a robot costume for my 6 yr. old. Sweet right? So my husband joined him, and created this elaborate number, with tinfoil, colored tape, and a good deal of creativity. Everyone tried it on for size.

But really, my favorite version of it, was Angel Boy.

In his adorable, trying to sound scary but sooo not, voice he was saying "I. am. a. Robot!" and walking around chasing everyone. I have a video of it but like an idiot I filmed him vertically and You Tube won't accept it. So use your imagination. :) and yes, that is our Christmas tree being disassembled behind him. One of the many tasks on my to-do list that day.

So, even though it was not on the list for my husband, too sweet to interrupt. (He did do all the things he was supposed to that day as well) And really? There is nothing like watching the man you married, sitting there with your kids, scissors, tape, and markers taking his Saturday morning to create "Robot Rampage".

  3. Well Virginia, I was going to quote Phillipians 4:8 and say that that is exactly what I think about when I read this blog, and there it is right at the top of the page. So, if anything gives glory to God, that is it. I love your blog. It makes me laugh sometimes, and I think that making people laugh is sometimes the best thing you can do for people, and it's a witness to a weary world.
